Acceptance of Terms

The Debt Driver website and applications (the "Site") are operated by Debt Driver, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") describe the legally binding terms and conditions governing your use of the Site.

Debt Driver is designed to help users organize, understand, and plan their debt payoff journey through educational tools and financial planning insights.

The Service is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SITE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SITE. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD TO USE THE SITE.

These Terms contain an arbitration provision that requires disputes to be resolved on an individual basis and limits the remedies available to you in the event of a dispute.

No Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice

The Service is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

Debt Driver is not a bank, financial advisor, investment advisor, legal advisor, tax advisor, debt management company, or credit counseling agency. All tools, plans, strategies, opinions, and other content on the Site are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

Nothing on the Site should be construed as:

  • Individualized financial, legal, or tax advice
  • A recommendation regarding debt repayment, credit use, investment, or budgeting strategies
  • A guarantee of any financial outcome

Financial Disclaimer

  • The Service is intended for educational and informational purposes only.
  • Any projected savings, payoff timelines, or financial outcomes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
  • Debt Driver does not provide credit repair services.
  • You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information provided through the Service.
  • Use of the Service does not create a fiduciary, advisory, counseling, or professional relationship.

You acknowledge that your financial situation is unique, and you are solely responsible for evaluating your options and consulting qualified professionals before making financial decisions.

Access & Acceptable Use

Subject to these Terms, Company grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Site solely for your own personal, noncommercial purposes.

The Service is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

You agree not to:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Site
  • Use the Site for commercial purposes without prior written consent
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or otherwise gain unauthorized access
  • Upload unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or harmful content
  • Violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
  • Interfere with the Site's operation, security, or infrastructure

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms.

User Content & Data

"User Content" means any data, text, files, or other materials submitted by you to the Site.

The Service is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

  • Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your User Content
  • License: You grant Company a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content solely in connection with operating the Site
  • Risk: You bear all risk related to your User Content and agree that Company is not responsible for any loss, misuse, or exposure

Account Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide our services. We may also retain information as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time through your account settings or by contacting us, subject to legal retention obligations.

Subscription, Billing, & Refunds

Paid features are offered through a recurring subscription billed by Debt Driver's payment processor (currently Stripe). By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms and privacy practices in addition to these Terms.

The Service is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

  • Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select) until canceled.
  • Authorization to charge: You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for the applicable subscription fees when due, unless and until you cancel in accordance with this section.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription through the Stripe-managed billing portal linked from your Debt Driver subscription settings or the customer billing portal Stripe provides.
  • When cancellation applies: Unless required otherwise by applicable law or the terms stated at checkout, if you cancel, you generally retain access through the end of your current billing period after which your subscription will not renew. If you cancel during a trial, charges may apply only as disclosed at signup and checkout.
  • Refunds: We offer a 30-day satisfaction policy as described at signup or on our pricing page for qualifying new subscriptions. Refund requests may be submitted by contacting us at Jack@DebtDriver.com within thirty (30) days of initial purchase and are processed where eligible and as permitted under applicable law.
  • Free trial: Offers may begin with a free trial for 3 days, as disclosed at signup and checkout. When the trial ends, your payment method may be charged the then-current subscription fee for your selected billing interval unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Failed payments: If a payment fails or is overdue, Stripe or we may suspend or restrict access until the payment succeeds or the subscription ends. Stripe may retry failed charges consistent with Stripe's default behavior and applicable law.
  • Price changes: We may change subscription prices or billing cycles with reasonable advance notice where required by law. For existing subscribers where permitted, changes may apply at renewal; otherwise we will disclose how changes affect you.

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE."

The Service is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

Company and its suppliers expressly disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
  • The results of using the Site will meet your expectations
  • The information provided is complete, accurate, or up to date

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or functionality at any time without liability.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPANY'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50).

Force Majeure

The Service is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for outages, delays, or harm arising from events outside our reasonable control.
  • Examples include internet outages, cloud or hosting failures, natural disasters, and other similar events.

Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS SECTION AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Subject to applicable law and except as expressly provided herein, you irrevocably consent that any judicial proceeding arising from these Terms or your use of the Site that must be resolved in court may be commenced only in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you irrevocably submit to personal jurisdiction therein.

Arbitration

Arbitration shall take place in Cook County, Illinois, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

  • Arbitration: All disputes arising out of these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association
  • No Class Actions: You agree that disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis and may not be brought as a class action
  • Waiver of Jury Trial: You waive your right to a jury trial

Additional Provisions

The Service is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

Third-Party Links & Services: The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We do not endorse or control these third parties.

Privacy: Your use of the Site is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Site, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in that policy.

Service Monitoring and Improvement: To operate, maintain, and improve the Site, we may monitor usage and interactions with the Service, including through analytics and diagnostic tools, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property: All rights, title, and interest in the Site are owned by Company or its licensors. You may not use our marks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.

Changes to Terms: We may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, we may notify users through the Site or by email.

Termination: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
